Dr. Wassim Drissi, DO
Appointments
New patient visits are approximately 60 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you have not completed your intake forms online.
Follow-up visits are typically 30 to 40 minutes.
EMG/NCS appointments are 45 to 60 minutes. These require dedicated time and preparation, so please give adequate notice if you need to change your appointment.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the time to another patient.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows may be subject to a fee. Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from the practice.
We understand that emergencies happen. If something comes up unexpectedly, please call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Payment and Fees
This is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance and we are not in any insurance network. You pay us directly, at the time of service.
That decision is deliberate. Without insurance contracts, there is no prior authorization, no coverage denial, and no billing department deciding how long your visit should be. Every price is posted before you agree to anything, and visits are as long as they need to be.
What you can expect:
- The price of a visit or procedure is quoted before it happens, never after
- Payment is due at the time of service
- We accept cash, credit and debit cards, HSA, and FSA
- No referral is needed to be seen
Superbills: On request, we provide an itemized superbill with the diagnosis and procedure codes for your visit. If you have out-of-network benefits, you can submit it to your insurer yourself for possible reimbursement. Whether they reimburse you, and how much, is between you and your plan. We cannot guarantee reimbursement and we do not submit claims on your behalf.
If you have Medicare: Medicare rules limit how physicians can charge Medicare beneficiaries directly. Please contact us before scheduling so we can explain how this applies to your situation, and Medicare generally will not reimburse a superbill from this practice.
Membership: If you expect to be seen regularly, our membership bundles routine osteopathic treatment and discounts the procedure menu.
Medical Records
Copies of your medical records are available upon request. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing. Records will be released in accordance with applicable state and federal privacy laws.
Records transfers to and from other providers are done at no charge for the purpose of coordinating your care.
Communication
For non-urgent questions, you can reach us by phone, email, or through the patient portal during business hours.
For urgent medical concerns outside of business hours, contact your local emergency department or call 911.
We do not provide medical advice via social media or text messaging. These channels may be used for scheduling and general inquiries only.
Prescription Policy
Medication refills are handled during office visits or through the patient portal. Please allow 48 hours for refill requests to be processed. We do not prescribe controlled substances on the first visit or to patients who are not established in the practice.
Privacy
Your medical information is protected under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). A full Notice of Privacy Practices is available at our office and on our website. By signing the consent for treatment, you acknowledge receipt of this notice.
